How long have you been in business?
We have been making our personalized stools and puzzles for over 30 years
What is your primary product or service?
The main selling item is the personalized step stool
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started making wooden toys for my son and it just grew from there. We did local craft shows then started traveling in a 5 state area. We had a retail store for awhile then went to the internet to reach our customers.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I guess the biggest difference would be that I still cut all the stools, puzzles and coat racks myself on the saw, with the help of my daughter who now works with me. I think this is what makes Cubbyhole different, you will never get two stools to be the same. Other compainies use a computerized machine to cut out the stools and puzzles.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We make everything here in West Dundee IL but have many internet stores and small businesses that sell Cubbyhole items all accross the U.S. We have one store in England and a couple in Canada that see our items also
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards on our web site
